Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission
The IWWC acts as a regulatory authority for the Town and implements the purposes and provisions of the CT Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act within the Town of Killingly by enforcing the preservation and protection of the wetlands and watercourses from random, unnecessary, undesirable, and unregulated uses, disturbance, and destruction. The IWWC Commission also serves as the Aquifer Protection Agency.
The IWWC regularly meets the first Monday of every month in the Town Meeting Room located in the Town Hall.
The IWWC is comprised of five regular members and two alternate members. Regular members serve three-year terms and alternate members serve two-year terms. All members are appointed by the Town Council.
